Uhlmann Vs. Allstar

What exactly are the differences between their products? I've heard that Uhlmann is cut for "more rounded" people, while Allstar has a slimmer cut. Other than that, I haven't heard of any particular differences.

Also, which one do you prefer and why? Thanks for any help.

Allstar is red. Uhlmann is blue.

Seriously, I have an Uhlmann lame and an Allstar mask, and no particular preference either way.

I am given to understand the sizing differences extend to masks as well, Uhlmanns running larger, but I couldn't say for sure.

I bought a full set of Uhlmann gear from Fechtsport Langenkamp in Germany, Herr L sells Allstar/Uhlmann for the same price. I asked around the club before I bought the gear, most people were wearing Uhlmann. This could be because the main local distributor only sells Uhlmann, but everyone was happy with quality. I asked a friend why he bought Allstar - "It's cheap, and I was in Germany anyway..." (he's German).

I can't really tell if there's much of a difference between my gear and his, I'm perfectly happy with mine. The cut isn't much of a concern for me, my jacket is Uhlmann size 54 so I suspect anything my size would be cut for the more rounded rather than the slim .

Aside from the cut and trim color, the uniforms and masks are of the same design and construction. So if you aren't concerned with trimmer vs. wider cut and red or blue aren't must-have favorite colors, just go with whichever you get a better deal on.

How about Adidas fencing jacket and pants? because it shows Allstar on the label, is the cutting as same as Allstar?
