sallearmourer is on a distinguished road
I use 1/8 of steel rod and bend in half around a fence post.

If you think about replaceing a broken one the new one must be welded into place. In order to do this first remove the bib and the head band that run around the mask. cut out the old one and grind down the old that is weld to the mask. In order to weld the new one in place you really should use a mig welder it works the best. I have done several this way. I charge 50.00 to replace the back strap. It takes about 3 hours to do it right,

Tim
