| After getting rid of latenight the Queen stretched and walked to her clothes horse. SHe removed the light covered blouse and the soft moleskin trousers. Shrugging into them she added a pair of soft leather shoes and strapped the sword onto her waist. Brushing her long hair she caught it up on a leather thong so that it didnt fall over her face. Taking a deep breath she exited her rooms and made her way to the competition arena.

| Riding in on the far side of town, a woman dressed in breeches and a soft blue cape appeared. Her long dark auburn hair flowed smoothly across her shoulders and glistened in the day's sun.
She seemed in no hurry, walking her steed in a slow deliberate manner. She nodded her head from time to time to acknowledge the few passersby that noticed her. A few boys ran past, excitedly. She heard them shout gleefully to oneanother as they passed. "Come on!" the first shouted, "We don't want to miss the start of the competition."
She perked up at this and let her deep brown eyes follow the direction in which the two ran as she lovingly fingered the sword dangling at her side. Then she trotted off in the same direction. |

| Yes, sighed Mango, romance is interesting, but some marriages begin in boring mundaneness, and become dynasties. [i'm not interested in getting married, , i like singledom, i enjoy singledom, and i want singledom forever] for myself, but i encourage others] So I'm sorry, but who's getting married in this story, can I help pick out the wedding dress. I favor aqua and gold. At first I could not decide between agua and gold or agua and silver, actually gold and silver as accents are dynamite with aqua.
Can I be the motherinlaw? i'll be the one who cries at the wedding. does anyone still do that?

| She awoke, shivering in the chill early morning. An tree root had made its presence known by the dull throb in her back. She rolled over slowly, thinking that perhaps she was getting too old to be sleeping outside. But what good would that thought do her? She pulled her cloak tighter around her to stave off the chill and though about breakfast.
Her trusty steed stood nearby. Small clouds of steam spread around his dapple nose as he pawed the earth restless himself for a bit of grain. "Etoille," she whisperd, "Be still. It is early yet."
The horse whinnied as if to respond. "Oh, alright," she replied as she rose up on one elbow. "Let's go find some food. Then we'll see about that tounament."

| Gwyen rose early the next day slightly confused at where she was. Then she remembered that she was in a seedy inn in the capital city of Acronia. Hurridly getting dressed she headed down stairs for breakfast before checking on her horse. Seeing the mass of bodies heading for the tournament grounds Gwyen wisely chose to attend on foot. Finding a seat near strip level was a mirical of God indeed for the throng had carried her down the stadium when she had spotted it. Settling in she began to analyize the participates.
"Well, it looks like it's going to be an exciting day," she commented to the boy sitting next to her. |

| Breakfast was a meager affair. Sighting a little cottage in a thick grove of trees she decided to see if she could perhaps barted for a bit of food for herself and a bit of grain or hay for Etoille to tied them over. Riding up to the door, she dismounted and tepped on the door. When no one answered she paused a moment then tried the latch. The door was not locke so she pushed the door open and stepped inside shouting, "Hello?" Must have all gone to get good seats at that tournament she thought.
She nosed about the tiny kitchen a bit, noticinga pile of dirty pots in the basin. A small wooden bowl containig several brown eggs was found on the hand hewn table as well as a round loaf of peasent bread. She picked up an egg and gave it a tiny crack. Finding it to be boiled she placed it and another into a pocket. Then picking up a nearby knife she cut a thick slice of the bread.
This shoul do for now she thought to herself as she tossed a few coins into the bowl.
Then she looked around. A few dusty books lay strewn about. Weapons of all sorts hung here and there on the walls, all neatly polished and well kept. Running her finger along the blade of a particularly intricate sword. She wondered who lived here and tried to guess as she scanned her surroundings. Spying a door way she walked over and took a look inside and laughed softly to herself. Indside a large oaken armoire stood open. Men's breeches and shirts were neatly folded and stacked on the shelves. But that was not what made her laugh. On one corner of the room next to a small table which held a solitary candle was a hammock. She scratched her head as she wondered what kind of person would havea hammock inside their house. Oh well, to each his own she though. Then she turned to go hunt up some food for Etoille. |

| Larya grew bored with the chimes merchant, and began to look around for something to keep her interested. The fights were okay, but not all THAT fascinating. So she turned randomly to the person next to her.
"Hi! My name's Larya. What's yours?"
"Lady Cristina."

| "Good morrow, Larya. Enjoying the tournament?" Cristina was certainly curious about this friendly stranger. Everyone she had seen so far had been preoccupied to notice her even when she talked directly to them. Standing at 5'6 with strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, and an athletic build Cristina had been known to draw the eye of every man when she entered the room. Shrugging her shoulders under her cloak she adjusted her rapier and asked, "So who is the man in black?"

| Larya shrugged. "He's a really morbid guy, I think called the Swordsman. Needs to get a life. But he's cute. Still, don't think I could spend too much time with a guy who thinks that much about killing and swords and stuff. So, what do you do, and what brings you here?"

| Umm dont stay with the Royal Attorney, his record with women is slightly woeful....was it a bongo player Miss Spears left you for latenight? If you come up to the castle after the tourney I'm sure we can find a nook to sleep in and some work for you.

The Bitter End inn is pretty nice, but it's also packed solid right now. I'm in the castle, but that's because I work there. What's this strike force you're talking about?"

| I've learned that every country has a protective force other than the regular army. I'm just looking for something to do so that I blend in. Is there a tailor in town already? Or a court bard?

| Larya considered for a moment. "Well, I really don't know yet. I've been in the castle and the court, but don't know the area well at all. I have no idea about a second force or anything, but that dark guy you saw earlier would probably know."
