curling lame The bottom edges of my son's lame are curling, and so is the flat that covers the zipper. I tried using heavy books to weight the curling places, but it didn't work. Any suggestions? Does it even matter? Thanks -
Do they use a lame in curling?http://www.hyjoo.com/image-24522-CURLING.jpg
Oops. Nevermind -
In general it's not a big deal. The worst that'll happen is that he'll be asked to flatten it at the beginning of bouts.
Basically, I don't know of a trick to fix the curling but it's not a huge problem in terms of the rules. -

Array There are actually two rules, which do apply: M.28.2 and M.28.6.
As has been said, it is difficult. One solution is ironing, but use material between the iron and the lamé. The second is rolling it around a dry towel; front to the outside.
For most individuals carrying the lamé rolled is the best way to carry it. That way you counteract the natural tendency to curl because of use and avoid folding. Of Course for teams a lamé bag works best. Donald Hollis Clinton, Jr. DHCJr@juno.com
