| Bouts I would like to see.... After checking through the ranking lists, I think it would be really fun to put the top female fences with the top male fencers in the youth categorys.
I want to see, Becca Ward (#1 12 and Under) fence Dan Berliner(#12 and Under MS .)
In Under 14 men's and women's saber a team competition with, Becca Ward, Dagmara Wozniac and Mera Keltner facing off with Johnathon Berkowski, Max Williams and Andrew Rudnicki.
(this could be ugly but what the heck.)

| Andrew Rudnicki? I know an Alex Rudnicki who's quite a sabre fencer, but not an Andrew. He has a younger brother Thomas who's coming along, but I didn't know about an Andrew.
FWIW, I've seen Alex and Dag fence each other in the past. Although it's been a while since I've seen a bout between them, and, Dag is an excellent fencer, I still don't think she'd do so well against Alex.

Go Dagmara!! (She is such a nice girl.)

| Dag is a great kid and fencer. She and that whole crew would come down to my old club on Saturdays just to get more strip time and beat up on fencers twice their age.
It's hard to believe that they are as young as they are.
However, I'd still put my money on Alex.

| Hey, what about the Fighting French Sisters versus the Hurtin' Hurley sisters in a tag-team epee match? (Small handicap for the Hurleys since one is a Y12).
Then the next card could be other sibling bouts:
Ward & Ward against the Rudnicki dynasty in saber (or the Murphys from KC)
The Kubik brothers against the Miners from Utah.
Any other good sibling teams out there?

| Yeah, Dagmara's nice. I'm a afraid that Becca Ward, Dagmara Wozniak and Mera Keltner facing off with Johnathon Berkowski, Max Williams and Andrew Rudnicki would be a bit ugly though (wince). But it would be interesting to watch. I think in sabre it'd be a bit unfair, but in other weapons it would be cool, like maybe foil in senior. It would be neat.

Uhm, the Zimmerman's?
The Jacobson's.
The Sinkin's.
The Zagunis's.
The Diacou's.
There're a TON of fencing families out there.

| Or, how about:
Martin and Mariel Zagunis vs Colin and Sarah Parker in saber?
Emily and Sada Jacobson would be a tough pair to beat...how about pitting them against the Zimmerman sisters--half the bouts in foil, half in sabre?

| I saw Felicia and Iris Z in a DE at the Palm Springs NAC a few years back...YIKES! Iris won, as I recall.
Felicia talks about bringing Iris out to Burbank for a visit every so often...would be interesting to see those two go at it in the small confines fo SwordPlay! |

| Bouts you want to see...... Hey Purple man!
Two of my guys went to a work shop ,held in SF. run by the Zimmermans' . One asked me if I thought he could " take" Iris in a foil bout. I replied " only if you use a # 5, Tonya Harding signature crow bar!" He didn't think that was funny...................
All the best

| Hi!
A few years ago, I saw that Microsoft had a fencing team/club/whatever. Among all the states that sued Microsoft, there *must* be some state employees who fence. Pit those two against each other in a team bout.
Bill the bout as "The Grudge Match" and fencing would get some *real' coverage.
Have a nice time!

| Along those same lines...
Bill Gates vs Steven Jobs....Gates' gear would crash as he came on guard, and Jobs' would be so expensive even HE couldn't afford to buy it! |

| Why would that be frightening? I was referring to the possibility of a Gates/Jobs match-up. Not a zero probability occurrence. Probably more likely a Jobs/Balmmer match-up, though.
A good team match would be Ballmer, Dell, and some Intel guy (Grove is too old, don't want him dying on the strip) versus Jobs, McNealy, and Ellison.
McNealy's a pretty healthy guy, as he plays hockey a lot. Ellison's always doing his Shogun stuff, and Steve, well, he has his aces up his black turtleneck sleeve.
Ballmer can do his monkey dance everytime he scores. Dell, I don't know much about his proclivities, but I think he's the youngest of the bunch, so that's got to help him. And whoever will join in from Intel, maybe he can contribute somehow. Grove or Barrett are both too old. Maybe they can put in Fiorina instead. But H-P isn't so pro-MS to make that a good fit, battlewise.
Sparc vs Intel
Apple vs Dell
Oracle vs MS
That'll pack people in, I'm sure.

| Or how about this matchup-
Starr vs. Clinton with cavalry sabres, or battle axes. Now, that would fill the Astrodome!
Have a nice time!

| Chelsea Clinton's graduated from Stanford, but Ken Starr's daughter is still there. Probably her last year. How about a Chelsea vs Ken Starr's daughter bout. Olive oil wrestling, that is. That'll give Stanford some points to bolster its reputation as a fun school.

| Speaking of progeny and bouting (but moving away from oil wrestling and back to fencing), I've heard Steve Job's son has been taking fencing lessons.
Bill Gates' and Linus Torvalds' kids are probably just a little too young for lessons, but perhaps they'll catch up with the Jobs in a couple years.
Larry Ellison's son is certainly old enough to fence, but last I heard his main pasttime was learning to fly aerobatic aircraft.
