So you're saying people get progressively worse through their years at Brown?

well, impressive to me is that I heard in her semi final match, she was down 9-14 against Bacci and rallied back to win 15-14. thats what I would really call impressive. I'm not worrying about where she is in her senior year, Im happy with the here and now..

Is this an old MIT story or something that happened on Saturday?

If you don't want to say publicly, pm me and I'll pass the info along and we'll fix it.

Old story. At a Big One I fenced in, a fencer from Brown put me in a head lock during corps-a-corps in one of the quarter finals. The body positioning was such that the ONLY person who couldn't see it was the referee.

In other news, I remember fencing in the final that Big One (and losing to one of the nicest fencers I'd ever met, also from Brown) at 8something pm, so I'm really impressed with the 4ish finish.

And the event was a lot smaller then, too.

A couple of functioning left-hand epees in the team bag would go a long way towards making one particular referee a lot happier.

Who does that? Oh, wait, you do. Very nice! It's funny how an error like that can bother you. (I am speaking for myself, not for the person who posted the original complaint...But I am glad, on his behalf, that it was fixed.)
