Are they broken blades or are they intact, but extremely rusty?

"Yessir, the check is in the mail."
As Gav implicates, even blades that on first glance seems to be very beyond repair may with some work turn out as decent practice weapons. Trust me, I've done it too.

Shall I point out that the 2 most recent fatalities in our sport happened in practice???
If the blade's rusted...and especially if the metal's pitted...the ONLY fencing use for it would be to mount it on a practice dummy.
Other than that....toss 'em or find some use for them that does not involve sticking them at someone.
