Rules Bent to Award More Ratings?!

So ... was the purpose of the Masters FC Tournament II to give out as many ratings as possible or to try to give illegal ratings to underaged fencers?

    http://askfred.net/Results/results.p...lv0q0cu2454v3#

Four of the 25 fencers in the open event were Y12s. So either these fencers were included in order to change the event from an A1 to an A2 and thus award more ratings, or, the four Y12s were included so that they could get their ratings illegally. And yes, one of them did. Either way, the rules weren't followed.

So my question is ... what's going to be done about it? Will the event be nullified? Will the club be disciplined in any way? Will the coaches be reprimanded? When will the USFA start taking action? Unless clubs, coaches, fencers and parents are held accountable, nothing will ever change. And if that's the case, what's the point of having rules and regulations? Just let the kids fence and be done with it!

Has the possibility occurred to you that it might simply have been an oversight? Regardless of intent, the rules were not followed and I'd imagine the event will be desanctioned, but the organizers may well not have the nefarious intent you seem so eager to ascribe to them.

On a separate but related note... Do you really have nothing better to do with your life than crawl Fred looking for infractions? If so, that's your choice I guess, but could you please just send your findings to the National Office and be done with it rather than rehashing it in thread after thread?

Unfortunately, troll spray is more expensive when buying economy sized rather than buying 3 smaller bottles
