The Number of Referee

Hi,

I have a question. According to the rule of FIE one referee should be brought if more than 4 fencers (5-9 fencers)participate in the tournament. And two if more than 9 fencers(from 10). But I do not know whether the number of referees is counted by the individual weapons or not.

My question will be clearer if an example is given. For example, 4 saber fencers and 4 foil fencer from a club to a tournament. How many judges should go to the competition with me?

Saberfencer Foilfencer Referee
4 4 0? 1?(1foil referee? or 1 saber referee?)
3 3 0? 1? (1 foil referee? or 1 saber referee?)
1 9 1? 2? (1 foil referee and 1 saber referee?)

and so on.

If it's a local competition best to email in advance and ask as they may have different rules.
