Two much flex?

I use a dry Blue Gauntlet foil that is extremely "flickable" One of the more senior guys said that it might be too flexable, he said something about putting a weight one inch from the end and mesasure how much it bends, he wasn't sure of the exact numbers. Anybody know the rules and/or test for this kind of thing?
thanxs

It's a 200 gram weight if I remember right. It goes 3cm from the tip.

I think the flex has to be from 5.5- 9.5cm, but I could be wrong. It's in the rulebook posted in pdf format at the usfa site.

I just use the 250 gram screw off top of my test weight if I have any doubt. I'm too lazy to make a 200 gram weight.

I just checked it is on page 99 of the pdf document

The actual page number is "85" I hate how they don't match
