"Boys' Life" is the official publication of the Boys Scouts of America and has something in the range of 8+ million readers.

The "Boys' Life" photographer actually came to our group last October and November for pictures and we talked to the reporter several times over the last year. Does it always take this long for a story to appear? Just curious. Anyway...

I strongly urge all the clubs across the country to contact their local Scout offices and offer an open house or demonstrations to Scout groups (both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts!). There will be literally millions of kids reading about fencing and hopefully we can interest them in the sport of fencing.

Just as an FYI: Venturing has the Quest Award :http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/...rds/quest.aspx which is a sports focused award for older scouts (around high school age) that includes fencing as one of the sports disciplines.
