expiration date for visor mask Have anyone heard anything about foil FIE visor mask being expire before?
I heard that you need to replace the visor every 1 or 2 years for safety issue and the number on the glass (visor) is the expiration date not the manufactured date.
Any website that support this claim?

Array All visors expire two years after the date of manufacture and must be replaced.
I highly recommend getting a current copy of the USFA rules and read section 2.1.2 of Appendix A to the material section - in addition to the requirement to replace the visor on a regular basis there other things related to care and feeding of visor masks which you should probably be aware of.
Edit: You may also want to read this thread related to date format

Thank you so much.
My daughter's new mask is already expired.( 0209). I just bought it last month from blue gauntlet.
I guess I have to run over there before my flight to Germany tomorrow. -
We had an incident this past weekend where an armorer failed a Leon Paul visor mask because the date was read incorrectly. We tried to exceed the standards by including the day of manufacture in addition to the month and year. This turned out to be a bit confusing for some, so in the future our visors will have the month and year only displayed in the following way: OCT09.
These dating system that we have been using should be read as follows:
A Leon Paul visor stamped 200509 should be read as follows: 20=day 05=month 09=year

Array If it's the PbT mask, watch out because 0209 means September of '02 I had to have a visor expressed to me before Veteran Worlds. -

And if they did, would it still be legal? As I recall the specs for visor masks were revised in 2004 and every manufacturer had to have their visor masks recertified. -
