I was shocked today to see what they've done to Rainbow Brite. They've taken a cute little chubby-faced girl character from my daughter's era and turned her into an anorexic Bratz-faced tween that would be right at home in an MTV video.

Whatever happened to letting kids be kids?

And what they did to that poor horse.... Starlite was ROACHED!

Have you seen girl's Halloween costumes lately? They have lots of choices:

Witch whore, Nurse whore, Vampire whore, and Fairie whore.

Not that I'm complaining if they are 18.

This is why everyone I know who is the mother of a young girl planning to trick or treat has been struggling to MAKE a Halloween costume.

Then again, some have simply purchased costumes intended for boys.

At least they've finally started selling nice, little girl clothing (in this area). It's funny how stores have suddenly started selling age-appropriate clothing now that schools have established strict dress codes.
