Uhlmann uniform piles

I was wondering if anyone else is getting piles (the balls of fabric after washing) on their world cup uniforms. It is sort of worrisome since my old canvas set didn't do this, and I thought FIE lasted longer.

what sort of use will I get out of my FIE uniform without wearing out if I practice 8-10 hours a week?

i'm in my uniform a little longer than you. I've abused the crap out of it. I do not take care of it. I've gotten 4 years of use. The only reason i've had to retire it is the underarm of the fencing arm was wearing out. It was rubbing against the lame everytime i went for a parry or did any infighting. I have one of those rough/coarse lame's.
