Need a reputable... I have two broken epees that need to be fixed (wiring problems), however I do not have the know-how or skills to fix them myself. Could someone recomend a reputable armorer? I am in the colorado area but I will ship to anywhere.
I AM NOT TRYING TO DIAGNOS THE PROBLEM! I have very little (if any) technical skills and do not want to try to fix these myself, I would prefer to allow a professional do so.

Array Where are you? There might be someone close by, and proximity can help a lot in these matters. -

Do you mean simply not working, or actually physically broken (i.e. 2 pieces of steel)? If it is the latter, I am not sure that a) it CAN be fixed, and b) that such a fix would even be competition legal... -

Things that need to be said:
What is happening? Are you not getting a light when the tip is depressed, or what? Describe the problem.
Are the blades broken (in which case you must purchase new blades), or does the weapon just not work?
Finally, the term is Armorer. -

Array Head over to NCF and pay Gary Copeland or one of his associates or students. "If I were ever to challenge you to a duel, your best bet would be battle axes in a very dark basement." Misquoted from The Prisoner

Array Wouldn't it be helpful if there was a fencing related web site somewhere that was willing to maintain a list of armorers were willing to provide such services?
Perhaps they could even put a link on their home page entitled "Find an Armorer", perhaps locating it on the left side of the page, under "Site Features".
Such a list wouldn't necessarily be inclusive but it could serve as a starting point (and IIRC it was created in response to exactly this sort of request). -

Actually, there is a link on the f.net homepage (although I've been having issues getting registered on it. Not sure what the problem is) -

Array i would first encourage tick911 to try and self diagnose the problem, because it's problably not too difficult, and fixing it will also probably not be too difficult. However, if tick911 simply doesn't want to be dealing with this problem...i don't see what everyone's problem is. Tick911 said it's a wiring problem.
You want a reputable armorer? Send the broken weapon to
ATTN: Superscribe
11482 Luna Rd
Dallas, TX 75234
You can pm myself to keep in track progress.
There will be a labor cost to fix. You will have to pay for any parts replaced. You will be contacted about what parts will be used to fix. You will be contacted in the event the weapon cannot be fixed. You will be contacted when the weapon is recieved to let you know about how long it will take the fix the two weapons, and how much it will cost. Shipping them to the above address does not guarantee a fix, but there is most likely a fix for what you are describing. If they are fixed, I will try to ensure the weapons are returned to the sender as with the bell, bellpad, socket, grip and wires situated similar to when it was recieved. If you want the weapons to be shipped back, without anything being done to them... don't worry, I'll pay for the cost. Things can be damaged in the mail, and nobody at the above address or myself will be held responsible for such damage.
I'm doing this because I adore fencing, and if there's no one around to give you any competent help so you can have what you need to fence when you want to, or they are just too paralyzed by liability/complacency/overwork/whatever, I want it known that I'm willing to step out on a limb and try, regardless of how little information you are able to provide because you weren't graced with technical training.
Tick911, please let me apologize on behalf of the fencing community. I'm sorry you felt you had to post on a public forum just to get the help you need for what sounds like a fixable problem. It's not like that everywhere. It's a legitimate sport, and there are qualified individuals to provide technical help out there, I promise you.
Hopefully somebody nearer to you gets wind of this and is able to sack up enough before you have to ship it all the way to Texas for what sounds like an acetone bath and two re-wires. Everyone relax cause I got it.... -

There are 10 Listings in this Category.Add your listing here
class="listingName"

... Try clicking on individual listings on that page - a lot of familiar names are hiding underneath 'class="listingName"' (which doesn't mean there isn't a problem there - only that it's easy enough to work around). -
