    Blades!!!

    Hi!
So, at the risk of sounding somewhat idiotic, I was wondering if there is a difference between left and right handed sabre blades?

    Thanks!

The blades are the same. As a complete weapon the plug is on opposite sides. That is why if you look at this (or any site) for ordering you will find the option for right or left hand for complete weapons but not for replacement blades.

The only difference is the guard...THOSE are right and left handed. Everything else is identical.

    Y'all, SSSHHHHHH!!!!!!

Ellie, please pay no attention to these "experts". EVERYONE knows that LH and RH blades are different. Personally I store all my RH blades next to my powedered kerosene, and my LH blades next to the lefthanded smoke shifter. And next time you are out on a snipe hunt, can you pick up some instant water before you get back to camp?

    Cough.

RH blades also tend to get a curve to the left, and LH blades get a curve to the right. ( I suppose you already know the reasons for curving a blade. )

And people who rely a lot on PIL and stop-thrusts tend to have blades with eccentric curves, sometimes several of them at once...

Of course there is a difference: left-handed sabres are always held in the left hand, while people hold right-handed sabres in their right hand. It's obvious once you know this little fencing secret.
