Array Starting to fence again Hi all,
Long time no see. I'm considering starting to fence again (sabre) and was wondering if there were any major rule changes or trends in the perception of right of way that have developed in the last two years. I would be very grateful if some of you could enlighten me as to what has been going on since I've been away.
Thanks Ich steige ab, Hab keine Zeit, Muss jetzt zu den anderen Pferden, Wollen auch geritten werden

Thanks RC, your best bet is to watch some of the videos that are now available here and on YouTube. That being said, I don't think there have been any big changes in the last two years. Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point. -

Array Yeah, I've been watching some youtube clips. All looks pretty much the same. I was just wondering if there were any major developments that I needed to be aware of. Ich steige ab, Hab keine Zeit, Muss jetzt zu den anderen Pferden, Wollen auch geritten werden

Depending on your level of competition (still in France?) this might not matter, but things have gotten very tight in the middle. I heard a report that it had loosened up at the European Championships, but my source was undecided whether that was a fluke, the fix was in or a new trend. We'll have to hear back from the Worlds in Turkey to see for sure.
Of course, this isn't a rules thing and all hearsay and may not apply depending on the level of refereeing you receive. Similar Threads -
