FIE bout videos on youtube For anyone who might be interested - I've noticed that there are a large number of videos from recent World Cups, in all six weapons, available at www.youtube.com/FIEvideo.
Unfortunately (from an entertainment perspective) the scores of the bouts are given away in the video titles, but the videos themselves are pretty high quality and could be a nice resource for coaches and fencers. -
Sweet. Thanks for the heads up. It's always hard to find quality fencing videos. -
Holy sh!t! That's amazing! Anybody know where it comes from? -

It's what we see on the video refereeing. I'd heard this was getting released, but not on this scale. -

Is that the British version of spooky, apparently meaning "no definition I've ever heard of for the word" ? Array These are amazing. Can anyone tell me what is going on with Kruse's circle 6 riposte in this video: http://www.youtube.com/FIEvideo#play...71/f4JCHmvdp3s Specifically, what he's trying to hit?

Array I guess it does in the first one, but in the other two he just smacks him on top of the mask, which puzzled me. -

Array Fantastic resource. I immediately noticed that when I downloaded the videos, I did not get near the resolution as the online versions. Did a little research and found out how to download a higher resolution version from youtube. When you copy the url, add (not the quotation marks) "&fmt=18" to the end. The download will be about twice the size, but the quality will be indistinguisable from from the online version. Now it's quite watchable on a larger screen with much less pixelization. I'm a foil fencer, and I can change, if I have to, I guess. Similar Threads -
