A mask is simply a mask the meshes and bibs are all made to the same safety specifications they will all do the same job, especially with Visor masks. The only real difference in masks is personal opinion, (i.e. Padding materials, shape). Unless the Dos Santos de-lists a mask, it's golden. Leon Paul packs in the features in their masks, they're premium and you pay for premium. Many people can't spend that, we'll make a mask we can cram as much value and quality we can into a lower price point. AF, LP, and BG can all at least say we make our own masks, andin comparison to a lot of the other vendors I think that's phenomenal. As someone who has taken apart and rebuilt some 400 or more masks, there is a difference. All FIE homologated, or CE certified, masks meet the minimum standards. But "some are more equal" than others. They may have started out the same but I have seen some, even FIE certified, that deteriorated much faster than others.
I will say that the lowest priced masks manufactured in recent years that I have seen are apparently much safer than the minimum priced masks that were prevalent decades ago. A very good thing. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -

When someone does not make their own masks in-house, as I understand LP does, do they have complete control over the end product?
I have personally punch tested a new "FIE" mask eleven times only to see the mask fail the punch test ten times. The manufacturer either failed to maintain the quality of the masks after the sample was certified or something was bogus in the certification.
I have no suspicions of the quality of AF or BG masks, but you made a very broad statement. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -

BG owns a good deal of factories, Jimmy Chen personally over sees much of his production, as does his son. BG's goal is to make the lowest cost items on the market, beat everyone on price. We also have have our own factory, no contract. We're more focused on value and quality, we'd go broke trying to beat out every competitor.
As far as I know we three are the only companies to make our own masks. -

I like BG, and they have treated me very well. That said, Idk if I can say that they are "better" then absolute. AF puts out a very quality product...

Array Well i dont have any complaints about the mask yet. ive been using it for about two weeks and nothing bad has happened, it hasn't fogged up or anything, so im pretty satisifed. Minus the scratches that it has already gotten. "Speak softly and carry a big sabre" OPA! Similar Threads -
