I don't hate. I dislike what you trying to do to this country and and I dislike you casting insults and lies about my faith, but I don't hate you. I find it amusing that almost every one of your posts displays your ignorance of the subject you are talking about. After you showed your ignorance of politics, I don't even bother taking the time to correct you anymore. I would advise you to do a little research before posting from now on though.

I also don't like how you try to distort the meaning of the Bible to justify your disdain for Christianity. Being humble doesn't mean being a doormat for others. After all, Jesus was humble but yet strong. He had no problem clearing the Temple of the moneychangers. Humility comes from being confident in my faith in Christ and knowing that although I may not win every fight I face in life, I will win in the end.

This is just more of your ranting against those that believe differently from you. The big difference between us is that I try to help others, while you want the government to take away from those you despise (evil, greedy, wealthy) in order to help those you decide needs help, including yourself.

What do you know about my beliefs? And why do you care what any Christian believes?

    Love you!

To be fair--I really don't think there was anything Bush could have realistically done to prevent 9/11 in response to the memo. But to pretend that no one could conceive of using a jet airliner as a weapon is silly.

So one event which had no actionable intelligence happened under Bush who then ensured that nothing happened again after that. Let's take a look at Clinton's accomplishments:

Oct. 12, 2000 - A terrorist bomb damages the destroyer USS Cole in the port of Aden, Yemen, killing 17 sailors and injuring 39.

Aug. 7, 1998 - Terrorist bombs destroy the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In Nairobi, 12 Americans are among the 291 killed, and over 5,000 are wounded, including 6 Americans. In Dar es Salaam, one U.S. citizen is wounded among the 10 killed and 77 injured.

June 21, 1998 - Rocket-propelled grenades explode near the U.S. embassy in Beirut.

July 27, 1996 - A pipe bomb explodes during the Olympic games in Atlanta, killing one person and wounding 111.

June 25, 1996 - A bomb aboard a fuel truck explodes outside a U.S. air force installation in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. 19 U.S. military personnel are killed in the Khubar Towers housing facility, and 515 are wounded, including 240 Americans.

Nov. 13, 1995 - A car-bomb in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia kills seven people, five of them American military and civilian advisers for National Guard training. The "Tigers of the Gulf," "Islamist Movement for Change," and "Fighting Advocates of God" claim responsibility.

April 19, 1995 - A car bomb destroys the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and wounding over 600.

February 1993 - A bomb in a van explodes in the underground parking garage in New York's World Trade Center, killing six people and wounding 1,042.

Come on Chase. Don't you know that all of those were right wing extremist US military industrial plots to get Bush elected so he could invade Iraq. Don't confuse them with the facts.

Linda, you have fallen into a common grammar trap. Why do you think he placed an error right next to his claim of SAT success? He knows it's irresistible. Now he has drawn in another person at little argumentative expenditure to himself. It is best to ignore these things.

Well the Olympic Park and Oklahoma City bombings were both by domestic right wing extremists.

Only 3 of these happened on US soil.
2 of them were right wing white power extremests(though it was not a plot to get W elected)
the people who bombed the WTC were caught and are in prison.
the rest happened abroad. if you would like to compare the number of american deaths abroad after 9/11, when you claim bush stoped them all,to the americans killed while clinton was in office, the numbers are not even close.
Or are you just joking again?

Oh yeah? Is that why it is on the very short list of Public Ivies?

All places like Harvard have is history. For a long time they were the only decent schools around and very easy to get into. If you look from the mid 1900s onward, UT dwarfs any other institution.
In my experience, if it's a really good school, there is little one can do to guarantee admission there, because the really good schools can afford to only admit the truly amazing students. Some good schools have a self selecting mechanism that means that only the ideal candidates apply so the numbers make it look easy to get in while it may actually not be-- do you have any idea why on paper it looks pretty easy to get into UT, and why you're not worried?

If you have a low opinion of Harvard, why would being compared to Harvard be a point of pride?

My list of facts about UT vs. Harvard are current. Some may be a year or two old, but they're post 1900. If you are convinced that there is concrete evidence that UT provides a better education than Harvard, there must be some sort of statistic that proves it. Please tell us the areas where UT outperforms Harvard. I've already suggested that UT probably outperforms Harvard in undergraduate finance and accounting programs. Is that it? Are you planning to major in finance then?

Please name the international schools you think are competition with UT for the top spot. I'm not asking you to rank them, I'm not (yet) asking for any justification. I'm just curious which 2-4 schools you think are in the top 5 international schools along with UT.

Well, I get a kick out of chase posing CIT as an "obscure" school, when that's Caltech - one of the best universities in the world, with a bunch of Nobel Laureates (with, off the top of my head, Feynmann and Gell-Mann in physics).

And, as has been pointed out by now - all those schools have NCAA fencing programs (and one of the "obscure" schools he lists has an alum with an Olympic medal in foil.) . I don't see UT on the list.

It's been another excellent way for chase (or whoever may be pretending to be chase) to demonstrate cluelessness and arrogance. Just the idea that the reputation of these schools depends on a 13-year old kid (or puppet operator) knowing about them is so funny all on its own.
