President Obama Learning to Fence Tomorrow? With fellow national team member Daria Schneider, I will be headed to the White House tomorrow to do some fencing demonstrations and possibly teach President Obama a few moves! The event is to support Chicago's Olympic bid for 2016

Very excited and hopefully will have a chance to tell him that even in fencing the US has gold medalists like Mariel!
If you recall, he said he expects America to be #1 in almost everything "except maybe fencing". That clip is here:

During the Capitol Hill event they quickly had a press release up that was picked up by USA Today and other publications since they got it out so quickly. They seem to be really on the ball with some of their media stuff.

Considering that Malia is 11 years old, and according to web reports already over 170 cm tall, would not a foam epee be a better choice than a foam sabre?
Seriously - the USFA should use Tim in a PR capacity ASAP. He toots his own horn louder, and better, than the whole organization!
