I'd like to see the raw footage from that day. Write congress and let them know. Maybe you can help them get their funding back. Truth is Liberal. -

ACORN is essentially a subcontractor. They do not apply for federal grants. They work for other agencies and non-profits that receive federal funding and ACORN does not receive funds until the work is completed.
O'Keefe pulled a similar stunt on Planned Parenthood when he and another female colleague secretly recorded phone conversations with staff. For that one, he edited the tape to misrepresent what was actually said.
Given that he's got a red card for unsportsmanship behavior with PP, I want to hear from a disinterested third party who's seen the raw footage before I join the masses storming the castle or... in this case... the acorn. -

If ACORN didnt have such a sordid past, I might agree with you. But you're obviously overlooking their past. Truth is Liberal. -

If ACORN didnt have such a sordid past, I might agree with you. But you're obviously overlooking their past. The bill that was rushed through Congress to cut off ACORN funding would have also cut off funding for most of the government contractors because it is unconstitutional to write a bill that penalizes a single company/non-profit organization. The criteria they used to punish ACORN trapped almost every government contractor because they'd also beenn caught with their fingers in the cookie jar.
The bottom line is that there is no such thing as an business or a non-profit that is free of corruption. Even major religious organizations have (at one time or another) had been caught doing things they should not have done for one simple reason: People are involved. -
And unless you have proof that this behavior is systemic rather than the work of a few bad apples, you are advocating punishment of the collective for the actions of very few members.
Likewise we should not demonize or punish the whole Republican Party as racists just because David Duke is among their membership. -

Yes I think we could. -

As for Guantanamo, it wasn't what went on there specifically that was the problem, it was the entire concept of an isolated prison that seemed to be exempt from both U.S. and international law, answerable only to one man, the president. - Wisdom is the knowledge of how much you don't know. -

Array I don't know. She did keep looking at me when she didn't think I could see her doing it.
But perhaps it was in horrified disbelief.
I have a few more days to find out.
One should never turn down a good "Jane, you ignorant slut" opportunity, in any case. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! Similar Threads -
