The statement starts with "It saddens me..."; it is clearly a statement of emotion, as intended, and I don't see how that is a bad thing.

"If it feels good, do it" I'm sure being able to say they voted for the first black president made a lot of people feel real good and had a huge impact on his winning (not to discount the loser ticket the repubs had), but as the polls are showing, the glow is fading fast.

Used to terminate a conversation or argument by injecting emotions when a participant cant get anywhere using logic or rational thought.
