Hi everyone. I've been browsing these forums for a while now and finally decided to join in, hoping to learn something and share my stuff too. I'm just about to start my 3rd year of fencing. I compete in sabre but enjoy doing foil and epee when my coach isn't around to hassle me for it, haha. This was my first year competing at all and so far I think I've done pretty well in Cadet. I'm around 10th in Canada. Unlucky DE's keep me from the top 8 or 5
My style of fencing is really quite unorthodox. From my beginning I built all my strategy around the counter-attack or attack in the preparation, if you will. I was a miniature Nicholas Lopez. As you can imagine, my coach got pretty peeved when I lost a bout at nationals 15-13 without going forward once. So for the past year I've been working on my attack and have tried to model it after Aldo Montano's. It's getting pretty solid and now all that's left is to put everything together
So, that's me.
