    Hotels.com has rooms. Saturday is 325, but Friday and Sunday are 209 and 229, respectively. If you go non-refundable, each night is under 200.
    The spirit is willing, but the fleche is weak.

    Still doesn't sound as good as THS's $125/night.

    edit: A quick Kayak.com search doesn't find any hotels within 2 miles of the convention center at a rate of $125 or less.

    I note that I could get a room at the Hampton Inn (thanks for the note) using a job-related discount for the same price as the THS reservation. I'm debating whether or not to do that.
