NJFA 2009-10 YOUTH CUP SERIES-Maplewood, NJ

NJFA announces the 2009-10 Youth Cup Series (Y8-Y14)!!

Join us for what promises to be another outstanding competition series for young fencers. All tournaments are stand-alone and ratings can be awarded when criteria are met. There is no need to be in pursuit of Cup points to participate. The outstanding 2008-09 season brought over 480 fencers representing 45 Clubs from 16 USFA Divisions and Canada together in top-notch competition, and was sponsored by Blue Gauntlet Fencing Gear, Staples, and Target. Average attendance at each event was 180 fencers!

All mixed events/Y8-Y14 - this season we have expanded the prize/point format. The top 8 in each event at each tournament will receive points, and the final top 5 in accumulated points in each event awarded Youth Cup Prizes and trophies at the last event of the season. Double points will be awarded Sep 13 and June 13. *The Barbara Lynch Charity RYC is not a NJFA-sponsored event, but is included in the Cup points whether held at NJFA or another venue (these events will be gender-separated).

NJFA is a state-of-the-art salle located in Maplewood, NJ, just off Springfield Avenue (via Vermont St). featuring grounded strips, center scoring boxes with repeater lights on each end, on-site free parking, free wireless internet, and on-site Fencing Store. NJFA is ideally situated and easily accessible from all major highways in NJ. We are a mere one-half hour train ride from NYC Penn Station (call us and we’ll pick you up from the Maplewood Train Station).
