I think that it's WAY too early to start thinking about the vet events at ROCs, which won't start until 2010-11, as part of team selection.
Given the way S&P has been brought along, um, without fanfare, I am starting to think that there is no longer such a thing as "too early" regarding USFA policy changes.


And that's even discounting the entire discussion of whether or not it's desirable to expand beyond the 2 out of 3 points system currently in place, which I think is a non-trivial conversation.
I agree.

My main question is: All other groups ( Seniors, Juniors, Cadets ) which select teams for world competitions and championships do so via NACs and World Cups only. We have had a number of policy ideas squelched on the grounds that we had to do things the way all the other groups with world teams did them. Adding ROCs to the NACs and Nationals for selection would be a departure from that model, so I'd have to wonder why it was suddenly OK to do things differently for Policy X but not for Policy Y...
