    Karate Nationals on USA website

I noticed that the top banner of the Team USA website (where the fencing website is) was an ad to watch karate nationals online. This got me thinking that karate isn't that much bigger of a sport/fan base(I don't know numbers but it's in our ballpark I think)...maybe we could do something like this that people would inevitably click on and then watch and learn about fencing.

you're very wrong about the size of the sport and/or fanbase.

having said that, they're already working on doing this, anyway, iirc.

Yeah, in any major city I would not be surprised to learn of 100+ karate, tkd, judo, etc clubs, and maybe 4-5 fencing clubs (if that.)

However, the incidence of fencers who compete is much higher than those in most eastern martial arts; we may have about the same number of people attending our nationals.

Of course, that's assuming that karate had one national organization, not a billion and one which won't talk to one another because someone's instructor wanted a reverse punch in a kata instead of a backfist.
