Connie, why don't they count Division I points in Cadet any more?

Another though imperfect option, would be to do the same for ME/MF/MS and WS as for WE and WF. Allow an unlimited amount of fencers to attend cadet designated events and anyone who has attended a Y14 or cadet is eligible.

Seeding will be off a little for the October and November NAC's but the big difference between rolling and team points won't matter for cadet designate selections.

I'm not sure what the thinking was behind this. I'm no longer part of the process - just the points person now.

I'm not sure who made the actual decision, but the person to send your questions/concerns/issues/etc. to is Mike Pederson, High Performance Director.

I haven't checked, but I believe they are posted. Someone else on the thread mentioned it. I know I sent them in about 10 days ago, so they should have been posted with everything else.

I haven't sent them yet, so they won't be up tomorrow. I'm doing the youth age out this weekend and they will have them Monday morning when they get into the office.

Checking for those beginning of season youth points and noted the New Classification Chart. On another thread I mentioned that despite the requirement that youth events "must meet or exceed criteria for C1 to award changes in classification" it appears that this is not the case for national events such as Summer Nationals and NACs. The response from senior members of this blog is that there is an exception to this rule for national events. Assuming that this is correct, why doesn't the rules committee make this clear on the New Classification Chart?

Thank you. You are quite correct. Must learn not to rely too heavily on Fred's version of the chart.... Are SYCs counted as "national" tournaments?

How are rolling points calculated for Youth Fencers?
