Array For moderators -- SPAMMERS registered to the forum. Currently about 90 new forum members online.
All their names begin with "Dr. [name]" and all of them have links to Viagra selling websites in their profile page.
Might be a good idea to delete those accounts. ^^ -

Array Z, because of the way the interface works it's much better to report at least one post from each offending account you see. -
It seems the spammers mostly start new threads. On other forums I belong to, there are controls that prevent newcomers from starting threads until they have made a certain number of post. Others have it that that newcomer threads (one even has new posters) are moderated before they appear.
Noting that this forum has a huge traffic at times, I wonder whether there is something in the settings that can be used to limit thread starting until bona fides are establised. -

Array Blog spammer: http://www.fencing.net/forums/blogs/mkcitizen-20843
When trying to report it I get an "Invalid blog specified" message. -
Not only the initial blog entry, but the comment seems to be part of a tag team effort.
I have previously commented several times about the report function not working on these spam blogs -

Array Craig, there's a vbulletin feature called "One Touch Ban & Clean" that you should be able to enable. I do lots of moderation on a very large forum elsewhere (I remember suggesting vBulletin to you way back in the day ) and we find that feature to be very useful, and make it available to the entire mod staff.
For preventing spammers from making it through, I believe vbulletin has features that stop auto-registration bots and such. Similar Threads -
