Ok, I wanted to do another epee bout commentary or two today, as I have the day free and I haven't done one in a while (been out of country or working). Any particular requests? I'm somewhat limited to those on CyrusofChaos's account.
Happy 4th, everyone!

Nice! It was fun to go back and rewatch the bout with commentary. I liked your comments on how Tagliariol slows down the pace of his fleche attacks, giving him enough time to either go for a different target or gain control of Jeannet's blade.
I haven't watched too many of his bouts, but he seems willing to give up a couple of touches at the beginning of bouts. Just his way of getting into it or a strategic move to either get some information or set something up later on?
I LOVE these, thanks. They are very instructive and help me think about what my coach is teaching me because I can see it used very well by the best fencers in the world. I can see what Harmenberg is talking about in Epee 2.0 when I watch these, too. Which leads me to my question - does anyone have any footage from before Harmenberg "destroyed" classical epee? I am too young to have seen what he was talking about.
Finally, on Tagliariol's 10th touch I am looking and looking but don't see the false step backwards.

I was expecting commentary a la Mystery Science Theater 3000. Instead, I actually learned things that might improve my fencing. Awesome show, great job!

How about a commentary on the 2006 WC Men's Individual Epee final? For that matter, any matches with Wang (CHN) would probably be equally informative. He has a weird style, and I don't think I'm understanding what he's doing (or trying to do) half the time.

I found Riboud, this must be a little after JH, but you'll get the idea. I like modern fencing better,
