    Pan American Championships!!

Hope of those of you attending Summer Nationals have a great time!

Most of the US National team will be competing in El Salvador at the Pan American Championships this weekend and I'l lbe trying to keep everyone updated.

Live updates at: www.twitter.com/timmorehouse (I'll be twittering inbetween points this time...jk)

I'll also be blogging: www.timmorehouse.wordpress.com (but as always that will depend on internet access at the hotel and venue)

Wish us luck! (And that the issues in Honduras don't spill over to neighbors while we're there!)

Another fairly easy opportunity for US fencers to dramatically improve their FIE rankings! I just calculated that Meinhardt has taken, from the PACs, 168 out of his total 388 points in last three seasons. Amounts to at good 10 ranking positions each season. Still, I really like watching him fence.

Getz has taken almost 50% of his points this year and 64 out of 80 last season!

    What's Ben's pool record this season? 29-0?

Is there anywhere one can see all of the results? Google search yielded nothing. BBC, TSN, ESPN and others do not recognize that fencing exists (search fencing = fences in ball parks!).

From the Federación Salvadoreña de Esgrima

    http://www.esgrimaelsalvador.org/ind...ion=com_search

    Today's Canadian results:

    WET 2nd
    MST 3rd

    Medalists from previous days:
    Phillipe Beaudry MS bronze
    Etienne LaLonde MF bronze
    Hugues Boissart-Simard ME bronze

    -B

edit: The FIE website has results from three events: MS, WS, MF. It's not clear to me why the other individual results, at least, aren't yet posted. Presumably eventually all results will appear there.

    Gracias/Merci/Thanks.

It looks like Igor and Sherraine redeemed themselves in the teams (or does a black card in singles bar you from team competition?).
