Wanted - Rambeau grips

Sigh - Allstar Germany and US do not have this grip in stock, nor does AFS.

I'd really like to find a few for some experimentation on grips - left-handed preferred.

Please let me know if you might have one or more available...

Rick

Have you checked with American Fencer's Supply? IIRC they used to have them for sale on their site, and it's not outside the realm of possibility that they might have a couple knocking around somewhere.

AFS was the first place I tried. They are out of stock, and have no source for new ones. They have since removed the Rambeau grip from their web site.

Thanks for the thought, though.

Allstar USA unhelpful

When I tried to order a Rambeau foil grip from Allstar Germany, their web site would not allow the order due to a non-German address.

I sent an email to their info address, and they suggested that I special-order from Allstar USA.

Allstar USA, when I pursued the issue after a week's delay without follow-up from them, told me that the grip was out of stock in Germany, and they could not order the grip.

However, when I related this to Sabine Meier, the Export Sales Manager of Allstar in Germany, she offered to sell me grip directly from Germany.

I ordered three (Rambeaux?) for my experimentation, based on the difficulty of obtaining them. It saved me a lot of work grinding a Russian grip down to approximate the Rambeau.

Bottom line is that Allstar USA was annoyingly unhelpful in this, and I won't buy from them or any of their various business aliases, such as FenceSmart, again.

If you are interested in the Rambeau grip, you could contact American Fencers Supply (who used to sell them) or directly contact Allstar Germany. The attached image is from AFS.
