However Absolute does carry Uhlmann lames, which are pretty much identical to Allstar, except perhaps being cut a bit fuller (and that can be taken in).

Within the US you're pretty much stuck dealing with Allstar USA (who has an exclusive vendor agreement with Allstar). If your heart is really set on Allstar then you might also consider going through a foreign vendor who will ship to the US (in the past people have recommended Fechtsport Langenkamp).
I meant BG. They have all kinds of Allstar stuff (including lames and the new Ecostar line).

Fencedumb also sells Allstar stuff, but they're expensive and unprofessional.

In that case I stand corrected.

Sounds like Allstar-USA's strangle hold as the sole US vendor for Allstar equipment may finally have come to an end (or at least the cracks are starting to show).

I received your lame and we will offer you a credit. It's quite apparent that you sweat A LOT, which is why the lame is turning green so fast. However there are some uniform green stripes that go up the back of the lame, where one's sweat can't possibly reach while wearing the lame (unlike the neck, armpits, etc), which indicate that the lame had to be stored with some sweaty gear. If it was immediately hung up afterwords, sweat wouldn't be able to reach these places.

When we tested the lame, at first it appeared completely dead, but after rubbing the spot being tested with nothing more than the tester itself, we started to get pass-able readings immediately. It could be if you tried to clean the lame and whatever you used you never entirely wiped off, or it could just be a coating from your sweat. All you would need to do is properly clean your lame for it to work again, as it's not permanently damaged, although we'll still send you either a replacement or credit as your lame won't last too much longer than maybe 2 more months at this rate.

We recommend you purchase a stainless steel lame. If this is what you like to do, we will credit the amount for the lame returned towards this purchase. If you do not wish to purchase a stainless steel lame, we will send you a replacement standard lame, however will not guarantee anything after that since we are recommending the other one to you due to all the profuse sweating.
