| Peh, you're both just mere states.
We in Massachusetts, however, are a commonwealth.

| Can you stay at one of the university's dorm rooms? They usually are hard up for money?

Yeah, but for the first 6 months you were called "New Connecticut." |

| No offense to you Texans but this place isn't fun I feel stranded here at the venue. It's pretty expensive to get into town so I can't do my usual thing scoping out great sandwich shops, stocking up on sport drinks at the local pharmacy etc.
The restaurants and food shops inside the venue are ok but way overpriced.
The staff seems a little overwhelmed.
Pool and patio are way too small for the volume of people trying to use it.
I'm not complaining, just stating some facts.
I'm here for the week and contemplating moving out to the Residence Inn over by the mall if they have any openings (I guess that's not likely).

| Tips for those staying at Gaylord Texan 1. Get some friends (up to 5 others) and use the hotel transportation to the town of Grapevine or the Mall for $10 each way shared between all. There are good reasonably priced restaurants at both destinations.
2. We stocked up on food at the Tom Thumb on Router 26 and Ball - the hotel transportation will wait for you while you shop there if you make it quick.
3. Watch the cabs - I think they are more expensive then they are supposed to be.
4. If you buy coffee at the snack place near where the fencing is taking place you can refill for free.
5. If you're being bothered by hall noise put a towel along the bottom of the door.
6. A bunch of restaurants will deliver - the chinese food was OK (BoBo). I saw a Papa Johns guy in the elevator delivering pizza.
7. The resort fee ($15) per day INCLUDES high speed internet, use of the fitness center, the above reduced fee transportation, use of 2 water bottles per day that's stocked in your room and some other perks. In my case as IT consultant working on off days I'm appreciating a very fast/solid internet connection when using wire at desk. I'm probably the only USFA visitor not begruding this fee because the internet is so fast. |

| Are the results up anywhere in the venue? I'm having a hard time finding them and the ME tournament isn't online yet. |

| If you're caring about the food there, you're doing it wrong.
