Enlighten Equipment ?

Hi all, I'm new to fencing despite being a veteran.

I've been using club equipment and now want my own, looking round to purchase my own equipment and the array is quite amazing but also expensive.

I'm based in the UK and have come across a few more economical makers and would like some feedback before making any purchases.

For what it's worth, I think most of the Fencing.net house brand clothing (uniforms and plastrons) is made by Enlighten.

Jiang has had significant questions posed over the quality and safety of their clothing. The 800Nm was recalled in Europe under a Rapex order, as it apparently failed testing.

I thought that Jiang-UK has withdrawn sale of its clothing other than lames.

That said, the jackets have lovely material and look very nice. I have seem breeches give way at the seams after the first few lunges.

That was Wuxi....not the same company.

Wuxi Husheng Sports Goods is the manufacturer -- Jiang is the brand.

It was sold through Jiang-UK in Britain.
