Thanks!
Since the deadline is being moved up to eight weeks for the first time, will fencers be given any grace period? It would be good if a big notice was posted on the USFA website that the deadline is Aug. 10.

Not that I'm aware of.
-B Brad,
Is there a delay in getting the 2009-2010 schedule and entry form on the USFA website? -

Interestingly, while the dates being passed around here for deadlines are 8 weeks from the start of the tournament, the lead time mentioned at the February Board meeting for this coming season was 6 weeks (up from the 4 weeks used in the past). I'm uncertain when the 6->8 change took place, assuming the 8 week figure is accurate (and I have no reason to doubt that it is).

But WHY is the schedule and the entry form NOT under the proper location-which would be the drop down menu under "Competitions?" Also, WITHOUT the day schedule up for any NAC after NAC A, how can we send in the entry, as the entry form requires the fencer to "list your event per day." Perhaps some of us would like to send in the entry for NAC B and C now, but cannot, for that reason.

As of this morning - still nothing on THS site. It's in "HyVee Hall" at the Iowa Events Center.
How do I know this? The information is out there if you look for it.
As a general rule this is how you find out the info for any NAC:
1. Do a search for "[city NAC is in] convention center" in your favorite search engine
2. Go to the website for the convention center that comes up - usually there's only one.
3. Most CC websites have an "events calendar" available somewhere, sometimes it's under the "Event Planners" section. Look on the calendar...
You then find things like this: http://www.iowaeventscenter.com/cc_e...te=2009-Oct-01
Although I haven't tried, I suspect you can find out the venue for nearly every NAC this season using this method. Of course it depends on how good the CC is about updating their calendar, but I've found they usually are pretty good.
It's amazing what a little detective work will unearth!

I decided to look for NAC B and my method worked for that too: http://webfusion.kcmo.org/coldfusion...mingevents.cfm

Beats me, I was just answering the question for someone else. I generally look just becuse I'm curious, not for any practical purposes.

Dan I always look when I'm working BC to see if there's a Starbucks in the convention center--it's a matter of tournament survival for some BC & referees. (Of course, sometimes we get situations like last time in Dallas, where there IS a Starbucks but it's closed on weekends and holidays, which still annoys me.)
