The next event in the 2008-09 NJFA Youth Cup Series, The Memorial Day Duel, is coming up on Sunday May 24th. Y14 mixed foil is already a possible C1 !! Al l fencers born 1994-2002 are eligible to participate. Sign up now at http://askfred.net/Events/moreInfo.p...nament_id=6459.

So far over this season over 1000 fencers from 66 different clubs and 16 USFA Divisions and Canada have participated. This is a fantastic tournament experience for our young fencers.

The final event in the 2008-09 NJFA Youth Cup Series is set for Saturday, June 13. All fencers born 1994-2002 can participate. You don't need to be pursuing Cup points to participate. Each event is a stand-alone top-notch experience. So far fencers have come from 78 different clubs in the NY/NJ/CT area, plus Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Ohio and Canada, and 17 USFA divisions have been represented.

Double points will be awarded today, and outcomes of each event could be changed!!

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance there will be vendors there? I need to pick up an airplane-worthy fencing bag sometime between Friday and Tuesday.

Airplane worthy (or more correctly, baggage handler resistent) fencing bags seem hard to find. Depending on your route from PA, you will likely pass close by Absolute Fencing, and Blue Gauntlet is about 20-25 minutes from NJFA. Though I think they are both closed on Saturday, but open on Sunday. Check their websites to be sure.
