He's travelling on Monday evening. Div I Mens Foil is Tuesday morning, and he's working the full Monday before hopping on the flight.

Now for the real reason I'm posting...

I am staying at the Gaylord, with my Significant Other (guy). We also have another fencer staying with us, and while my S.O. will be arriving Monday, she will be arriving on a different day from me. As a result, I had to figure out what the itemized per night/per day/fees would be for each of us, and added tax onto it.

Did you know that there's a $15/day "Resort Fee" charged to the room? And it's also taxed (sales tax = 8.25%). We're also renting a car--we have family 100 miles away and are meeting them there at some point, not to mention we don't want to be tied down to the venue--so we're paying for parking as well ($12/day+tax <if self-park, $24 if you valet>).

So anyway, I spent about three hours yesterday figuring out what would cost what, who would owe what depending on when they're staying, if they're using the vehicle, etc. The fees (parking/resort fee) ended up tacking on about $160 (including tax) to the cost of our stay for the week.

However, Internet access is covered under the fees, as is the pool with the bar

There was a resort fee at the Broadmoor but I don't think it was charged to those who booked through THS. Maybe it will be the same at the Gaylord.

Depending upon how long you are staying, consider only renting a car when you visit your friends.

Thus saving money on the rental and parking. There is a car rental agency at the Gaylord.
