    disengage 7 to 6

    would i go under to the left or the other way

    Against a low-line parry, a disengage will go above the blade/guard. To go below the blade/guard you would execute a coupe'.

    If you are fencing against a same-handed fencer, and they parry7 against your feint to 7, then you would just raise the point above their guard and move the point to the left to get to 6. (Diagonal movement.)

    If you are fencing against an opposite-handed fencer, then feint7, opponent parries 7, you would raise the point above their guard and move the point to the right to get to their 6. (Again, a diagonal movement.)

    Both of these are assuming a standard 7 parry and not a sweeping 7.
