Oh crap it didn't work.... Hmmm. And now I don't have time to mess with it (gotta go teach fencing class).
I'll try again later, but feel free to post your club patch pix anyway and maybe I'll figure out how to do it by tomorrow.

si~ the patch is great. i reallly like it. i wish i could relocate to Spain. i had thought of Spain from 1992 and the one thing that draws me to spain, are the oranges. what is fencing like in Spain?
For those who posted images of your pages and are happy with the vendor you used and the final product, can you provide the vendor contact information and the terms.
Thanks.

I'm not sure how, or even if I could post what SLF's patch looks like, but if you go to our homepage I believe it's in the upper left hand corner. the link is: Http://www.saltlakefencing.org. For those who don't want to look it up, it's basically shield shaped--sorry I know nothing about heraldry other than there's a name for this kind of shield, which I don't know-- the back ground is alternating red and blue, and there's a hand holding a French grip foil in a verical position. The red and blue background is a BYU/Utah thing. I guess for a relatively small Western state there are a lot of colleges and universities in Utah, but the two big ones are Brigham Young University (BYU or the "Y") and the University of Utah (the "U"). BYU was the last school to have a varsity fencing program and most of the fencers in the state either learned to fence there or were taught to fence by someone who did. One of our founders and our original coach was one of them--actually a former president of their club, but SLF is firmly in University of Utah territory (about 10 minutes from campus), many of those who fence with us are fans of the U, and/or graduated from there( I guess I fit into both categories, the aforemention founder/coach taught me to fence, but I come from a long line of Utah fans and Utah grads.). Thus, our colors are red and blue. I suppose I could now bother them about including the colors of the school I'm at now, but the addition of purple and gold to red and blue would be too much for even the strongest constitution and anyway, my heart still belongs to the "U".
I don't know who produced the patch, but I think it was someone local. I believe the design was made by one of our members who is a graphic designer in his non-fencing life. Our old website vendor was Xmission, and I think we got on relatively well with them.

From the way the handle curves around the palm and ends with a little ball, I'd say this was an ortho grip, not French. The lack of a thumb post indicates a Spanish offset, I believe, but it's been a while and I could be wrong...
Yeah it looks ortho' to me as well. Without any 'spike to curl your thumb round it looks like it would be difficult to use. I have no idea if it's spanish or not - it's just a grip to me.
You got me there. I did notice when I went to the site and checked that it seemed to be an ortho rather than a French. Although I will continue to maintain that it was a French originally and someone must have done a redesign. Why I didn't come back and edit my post to reflect reality I don't know. It may have something to do with myl lack of contact with reality in general . Or maybe the tiniest, most demure brain belch. Heaven knows I have plenty of those and they seem to be on the rise.
