It's pretty common in the UK/Europe.
I would have squandered it I'm sure, as it was I gave myself a gap year+ after graduation from the university. -

Array A Gap Year is something I had not heard of prior to my own high school graduation back in 1967. I wish I had taken one. Our older son also took a Gap Year after high school graduation. He worked full time and read in his areas of interest. We continued to release him into the work world, along with taking a class at the community college. He was married this past Friday, May 22nd and is very happy, working full time for Nike.
Bryan will be working, along with studying landscape architecture which is his area of interest for a major. He will be doing independent study and projects. -

Array No, he is living in Franklin, Tennessee. Works for Nike full time. He and his bride are on a trip to Belize right now, serving on a missions team working with youth and teens. Very happy. Missed by his brother though. Lovely wedding and will send you pictures. -

Array Notre Dame's fencing head coach Janusz Bednarski has announced the signings of student-athletes Lian Osier (Battle Ground, Wash.) and James Kaull (Washington, D.C.). The highly touted fencers will join the program in the fall of 2009. Osier and Kaull joined six other Irish fencers at the recently completed Junior World Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland. http://www.und.com/sports/c-fenc/spe...061009aab.html Randal : [after the fire at the Quick Stop] Terrorists?

Harvard 2010-11, that's why he's not on the roster. -
