Array This is interesting because the Somali pirates now issued a public statement about how they are going to kill french and us sailors they capture. That kind of threat just backs two pretty significant military powers into a corner. Makes us angry. As Lou Ferrigno says, you wouldn't like it when their angry. Everyone relax cause I got it.... -

Array Interestingly enough, while may pirates are in fact just out for the loot, there are also others taht are acting llike semi-national coast guards. Apparently there are a number of european countries dumping toxic and radioactive waste in the Somali waters that some of these 'pirates' are attempting to prevent. At the same time, there are also a number of European fishing companies illeagaly overfishing these same waters and destroying the fish stocks for that area. http://www.alternet.org/audits/13628...about_pirates/ "Rub her feet!" - Lazarus Long, Time enough for Love, Robert A. However, even if that is true I highly doubt many of them are really just trying to protect themselves. -

Array And now Rush Limbaugh has stuck his fat nose into it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLcDtqX3wtU starts at the 1:23 mark.
My God...what an idiot. I see Limbaugh's reaction and think....THIS is what the Republican "leadership" has been cowtowing to?? No wonder the party went from power to irrelevancy in less than a week.
I REALLY dislike W Bush....can't stand him, in fact....proof that we ARE a country of opportunity, since even a mental defective like him can get elected....twice.
But had this happened on his watch with the same results, I would've applauded him for taking the action necessarry to savfe the like of an innocent civilian. -

Array I think a funny trick to play on pirates would be to set out a big treasure chest on the bow of your boat and sprinkle some gold coins around the chest. The pirates would take the chest back to their pirate HQ but when they open it up, there is no real gold inside, only gold foil covered chocolate coins. They might eat a few of them but then start to think, "Darn it, that was a lot of work for a bunch of chocolate coins."

First, isn't it TOTALLY obvious that Rush Limbaugh was being completely sarcastic? He was making a JOKE. OF COURSE taking out the pirates needed to be taken out, Rush Limbaugh was being funny and acting how the folks at MSNBC would have reported it if this had happened with Bush in control.

I don't need MSNBC or anyone else to be offended by Rush at any time.

Array He's from Texas. His grammer wasn't great, and he had an accent. That makes him stupid? He was an Air National Guard pilot. They don't let stupid people do that. "There is no avoiding war; it can only be postponed to the advantage of others." - Niccolo Machiavelli -

He went to Andover and Yale on the legacy program.
He was in the Air National Guard because money and influence was used to keep him out of Vietnam.
He also did a huge buttload of drinking and drug abuse, so maybe he killed off most of his brain while he was failing to report for guard duty. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem

Bush? Mentally defective? That's funny. Aren't you aware that when even right-wing mouthbreather Jonah Goldberg made a comment similar to Purple's but from a right-wing perspective (paraphrasing, "I don't like Obama, but he handled this well -- good for him") Rush attacked him for it? http://downwithtyranny.blogspot.com/...gh-claims.html -
