Portland Hotel Folks -
I was able to use Hotwire to get a room for 4 people at the Hilton in Downtown Portland (3.5 stars) (the other side of the river, but on the train line) for $69/night. It's a block off the MAXX train and on the side of downtown with the restaurants and bars.
Hotwire doesn't show the hotel names first, but the Hilton was the $69/night 3.5 star hotel in the "greater downtown" area.

The Hilton is about a 20-25 minute easy walk to the venue.
