US Standard for Name on Uniform

In order to compete at any level, is the fencer's name required to be printed or embroidered on the uniform>

I know at some level it would obviously be required. When and what specifics please. Thanks!!

    Thanks!!

once at a national level so NACs and Jos it is necesarry. Only your name is neccesarry though once past that you also need your country code and national colors on your leg. But for everything else you do not need it. Also you can have your name on your leg if you prefer for NACs and JOs
why lunge when you can just flick...?

They are also needed for SYC's, not sure about NOC's.

This is from the rule book. Though it doesn't explain what domestic tournaments require names it does give the size and colour specification.

The name of the fencer must be displayed on the back of the
jacket with the abbreviation of the national federation below it, at
the level of the shoulder blades. They must be printed directly on
the jacket or on a cloth carefully sewn on the jacket. The letters
must be in dark blue, in capitals, between 8 cm and 10 cm high,
and between 1 cm and 1,5 cm wide, according to the length of the
    name.

Some divisions also require names for qualifiers for national events (the argument being that since the qualifiers are the first stage of the national event the full requirements should apply). However policies vary so unless it is clearly stated one way or the other then it would probably be best to check with the local organizers.
