Array Plains Texas Divisionals ~~canceled??~ I'm not sure if everyone is aware but the Plains Texas Division is under heavy snowfall and we are scheduled to have our Divisionals Qualifier this weekend.
Does anyone know the status of the event and if it is still going to happen.
I cannot see the other cities (Lubbock and midland) in the division traveling into Amarillo for the event.
I have e-mailed the officers and received NO reply as of 8:30 PM today; the day before the event.
The event is still posted on askfred and there is NO information on the division website either! Does anyone know anything? -
I am still planning on attending, although I have been a bit delayed by airline cancellations. I expect the event will go on. -

Array Are you coming in to referee the sabre?
We'd never brought in referees for this event before.
There are only like 15 people signed up to fence total... -

All are from Amarillo except 3 from Lubbock. I do know that the division officers have been in touch with EVERYBODY signed up for the event. Because you have just signed up, naturally you would not have received all of the communications to the pre-registrants. -

Array We signed up Thurs morning once we knew our schedules would allow us to attend. The storm hit today and there has been no communication form the division level as to what is going on.
I guess I'll be braving the storm in the morning to find out.
I am hoping that all the other members of the division that may or may not have pre-registered have some way to know what is going on as well. There is NO mention of preregistration being required at all and with this being a qualification path to nationals i sure hope that the officer would have posted any last minute changes on the web-site or on askfred.net
It's 11 PM the night before so I am assuming that there are not changes in the format or time listed on the askfred.net web-site.
If anyone has additional infrmation please hit me up by e-mail at matt.hite@amarilloyouth.net or by phone 806-6770-8064
Thanks! -

Please check askfred.net and the Plains Texas Div website for the latest updates before traveling to the venue. I'm sorry, but it's a bit like waiting for the school to announce whether it's going to close or not. We're not taking this decision lightly. All the officers' email addresses are available on the Plains Texas Division website.
While I understand your concern, I think it would be more helpful to move this thread back to the Rocky Mountain Section area as the Plains Texas fencers will be more apt to look for updates about divisionals in that area.
