Array recommended coaches Mpls. St. Paul Area Am wondering if any of you can recommend a coach in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. I'm new to fencing so am looking for someone who is good with motivated adult (40+) beginners (and willing to take them on as students). I do best with someone who is on the stricter side and fairly systematic, but who appreciates a keen intuition (i.e. not someone who is too laid back).
Just friendly info, please - no trash talk! -

Array I have a lot of respect for the coaches at Twin Cities Fencing Club.

Array With so few clubs in the area, you should consider visiting all of them, and talking to the staff. I have a lot of respect for the coaches at Twin Cities as well (the only club from MN whose coaches I've had any interaction with) but they may not be the best club for YOU.
You have specific needs/requirements/expectations from a coach. This is very good: you know what you want. Now you have to find a club that can give you those things. Not every club is all things to all fencers.

AE I fenced with MN Sword for a couple years - the coaches there are as strict as you need them to be. Well, The Rock says you didn't get that touch because your roo-dee-poo director missed the call. No, The Rock says you didn't get the touch because you absolutely suck! http://coletrainfencing.blogspot.com Similar Threads -
