    Coach required in Northern Ireland

    PERMANENT FULL TIME COACHING OPPORTUNITY:

Due to retirement, an established fencing circuit of schools and clubs in Northern Ireland, is seeking to find a new permanent full time Grade 4 or 5 Foil Coach. The role presently provides a secure income of a minimum of £19,000 per annum and there is potential for improvement by developing the position further. All applicants must have had experience of fencing foil at a high level, either as a coach or a fencer.

A significant part of this role will be in helping to further develop fencing in Greater Belfast Region and so in addition to teaching beginners aged from 8 years old upwards, there is the need to run an elite program for aspiring and competitive fencers. In addition training and development of coaches will be required. Please note those interested in applying must have patience and enjoy teaching fencing to children.

This position is a self employed post and all those considering the opportunity must understand they will be working directly to the individual schools and clubs involved. Consequently they must be well organised and self motivated and will be responsible for raising their own invoices for their work. The coach who is selected will be well supported in his/her work by club leaders and club supporters. Finally all applicants need to speak good English and be prepared to satisfy the United Kingdom’s Child Protection Regulations so that they are able to coach in schools and clubs.

Applications are required by 1st May 2009. Position to start on 1st Sept 09 or sooner if appropriate.

Those interested should apply in writing to:

    K. Debbadi
    21 Shaftesbury Rd.,
    Bangor,
    Co. Down
    Northern Ireland
    BT20 3GB

Or CV’s can be emailed to tim@belfastfencingclub.com
