Array Yeah, I have to say, while I would enjoy winning co-fencer of the week, this is Rebecca Ward.
This might be the worst award she has ever recieved. -

CONGRATULATIONS, DUKE FENCING TEAM IS THE WWW.FREEIPHONESANDLAPTOPS,LOL.COM FENCING TEAM OF THE MONTH!!11 Sorry, but not my blog! If you read carefully, Brad's report (see the BOD), he tells you who is the blogger of CollegeFencing360. I do like the idea of giving Fencer of the week awards and raising the visibility of Collegial Fencing. -

"I got named co-fencer of the week!"
"Big deal"
"The other fencer was Becca Ward"
"Maybe that's a bigger deal" -

-m All three of the women named are incredible fencers.
Mike, you are really good at what you do but you really need to clarify your statements.
Which fencer were you talking about? She who?
I am guessing Daria.

The Momster daria, yes. he bolded her name in the quoted text. -
Congratulations to all but . . . . . My question is: Who are the two fencers (or one fencer twice) who beat Becca this year? Talk about a notch on the "coup stick". "Oh yeah, I beat the Olympic Bronze Medalist, #1 in the World fencer." -

I heard a story of a year that Sada was at Yale and lost only 1 bout all season -- to a fencer from Brown who had only been fencing a couple of months. (Not that I am comparing the fencers who beat Becca -- who are obviously excellent, experienced fencers -- to this rookie....But, you have to admit, it's a funny story.) -

Array And not unexpected. It's a hard transition for the fencers with years of international experience (and years of doing few, if any 5-point pool bouts) to immediately adapt back to no 15-point DEs, but plenty of pools against unorthodox college fencers. I think that just goes to show that no matter how good you are, in fencing weird things happen and not to read too much into them. Array I am confused. Is the "co-" bit of co-fencer, as in "college" or as in there are several of them?
I love the way that the Duke website describes a World champion and multi-Olympic medallist as "a freshman saber from Portland, Ore." - surely only in US college sports would you write an article that almost reads as if you think it is as much of an achievement to be on the Duke team as winning an Olympic medal.
(I don't mean to take away any credit from Ms Ward for the academic achievement required to be at Duke) I caught this morning morning’s minion, king-
dom of daylight’s dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding
Of the rolling level underneath him steady air, and striding
High there, how he rung upon the rein of a wimpling wing
In his ecstasy! then off, off forth on swing,
As a skate’s heel sweeps smooth on a bow-bend: the hurl and gliding
Rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding
Stirred for a bird,—the achieve of; the mastery of the thing! Similar Threads -
