Rookie question about name on lame

[Onward and Upward]

Very basic question: I recently saw someone who had the name on their lame in both capital and lowercase letters. I think it was something like "McDONO..."

But I thought all the letters had to be capitalized for USFA competitions. even the "c." Was I wrong?

I've seen the same McWHATEVER type names.

However, for any domestic event, I really doubt anyone would care. For an FIE event, someone MIGHT care. Maybe...
